The Nairobi Advent Ensemble Vocal Band is the singing arm of the Nairobi Advent Ensemble Foundation, a foundation that works under the umbrella of the Seventh day Adventist church, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ to this generation. The Nairobi Advent Ensemble runs the 1,000 Voices for Kenya project that uses music and the spoken word to highlight contemporary issues that affect the Kenyan society.
NAE spearheaded the 1,000 Voices for Peace in 2017 and 1,000 Voices for Turkana in 2019 bringing thousands in support of these courses. The Vocal Band consists of baptized, and Sabbath school, members of the Seventh Day Adventist church within Nairobi that are committed to the Three Angels message and the great commission in Matthew 28:18-20. The Ensemble also run “Da Capo: Back to Basics,” a project that calls the church to “music reform,” to a singing that distinguishes between music for “common and holy” use.
